What Is an Earth Angel?

The search terms used on my site, as well as to bring people to it, are wide and varied. That said, the terms “Earth angel,” “Earth angels,” and others that include those two words are used far and away above all others.
They all point to one larger question, though: What is an Earth angel?

A channeled message
An earth angel is a being who is an original angel who chooses to be incarnate in the human way. This serves a multitude of purposes, as the angel incarnate is better able to assist the earth, better able to comprehend the human experience, better able to offer support to humans, and better able to bring a portion of harmony to a discordant world.
An earth angel co-creates a way of inspiration and navigation, as they tend to offer themselves in service to humans who are finding their spiritual effects within the earth plane. They promote themselves in various ways, and yet they do not boast of being an earth angel for reasons related to humility and a desire to remain unseen by those who would view them as threatening.
An earth angel will go out of their way to help those in need, sometimes to their detriment. It is a hallmark of the earth angel that they must find balance through choosing boundaries to protect their energy, their time, their space. If not, they will suffer for it.
Unpacking some of that channeled message
A lot of that message seems to make enough sense and be clear enough that it doesn’t require further explanation. There are a few things within it that, in my opinion, warrant further illumination. For example:
…humans who are finding their spiritual effects…
Here, the message refers to humans who are awakening and taking action on the awakening process. “Spiritual effects” would include embracing being an energy healer, an intuitive, a psychic, a medium, etc. They’re things that are intrinsic to the spirit and yet must be “resuscitated,” I hear, by the human.
This is about humans remembering who they are as their “whole self.” (That term came up in yesterday’s post: Helping Spirits Cross Over.) More than that, it’s about putting the attributes—the spiritual effects—of their whole self into practice within the scope of their human life, whether personally or professionally, or both.
…those who would view them as threatening…
Here, the message refers as much to energies from the spirit realm as to humans.
Some energies from the spirit realm would rather not have the additional illumination Earth angels provide on the Earth plane. With that illumination, there are fewer places to hide, you see. With that illumination, there’s a greater chance of being exposed for harming humans and Earth, and being transmuted because of it.
Some humans are threatened by things that are beyond the scope of their human experience or are entrenched in the quagmire of their limiting beliefs. If it doesn’t fit within the narrow perimeters of their life, then it must be a threat… even if it’s an angel who chose to incarnate and be helpful.
…choosing boundaries to protect their energy…
Here, the message refers to an Earth angel’s innate desire to be of service. This can lead to a sense of needing to “prove their worth,” to the point where they burn that metaphorical candle at both ends and give more of themselves than they have to give. That can include time and energy as easily as money and other physical resources.
It’s imperative that Earth angels learn to balance helping others and taking care of themselves. If not, they’ll burn out in every way there is to burn out. This may be the most challenging aspect of being an Earth angel, and therefore the most valuable lesson to learn Earth-side, as they then can impart that wisdom to the humans they serve.
