In the [Seasonal] Mood

A couple of days ago, during a short period of time between content creation and clients, I made myself useful to my website by correcting broken links. There are over 2,000 broken links on this site due to transferring my blog first from Blogspot to WordPress, then from WordPress to Squarespace.

Ouch.

Anyway, I busied myself cleaning up some broken links. While I did that, I chose to get in the seasonal mood using this gem:

It’s lovely. There’s the crackle of the fire, the muted voices of other coffee shop patrons and café-vibe Christmas music; all instrumental. It played in its tab while I worked in my website’s tab, keeping me simultaneously chill and motivated. I bow down to its creator for hitting the mark so beautifully.

It helped me focus on and apply myself to a task that’s important (for SEO and other mundane, muggle reasons), and yet also all too easy to be distracted from by shinier, prettier, more heart-centered things. I’m grateful.

What puts you in the seasonal mood?
