The Way Forward

19 May 2025

I sat down to write, opened a blank blog post, and typed “The Way Forward” into the title line. The process was aided by the indwellers who are as much a part of me as my limbs, heart, intestines, and brain. (Learn about indwelling.)

And when I speak of indwellers, I refer to those energies who have been with me since 2015, as well as those who joined me over the past week. (It’s notable that as I typed that sentence, my ears experienced sensations similar to those of changing air pressure. Each ear experienced different sensations simultaneously.)

Shades of gold and magenta dominate an image of a feminine figure illuminated by energy and light, seemingly out of nowhere. The image is overlaid with the words "The Way Forward."

“The Way Forward” is an original blog post by Ellen M. Gregg, published on 19 May 2025 on ellenmgregg.com. #forward #indwelling #helpers #humansbeing #inwarddevelopment

The way forward is creative.

The indwelling is (indwellings are?) a highly cocreative experience. There is a sense of creativity at play when the new energies interlock their grid with mine, for there is much for them to learn about me and my interaction with the Earth plane. The creativity is born of curiosity and wonder, and is without reservation.

I, too, experience creativity born of curiosity and wonder with the interlocking, although not without reservation. My ego wants me to get it “right,” you see, wants to be sure I’m doing all that I need to and living up to my soul contract and its agreements.

In addition, my human brain attempts to make sense of the reality of this highly improbable and yet very real occurrence. That attempt tempers the creative nature of the entire experience. It dulls the innate playfulness of it. It also dulls the potential for great joy within the process and the experiences it yields.

How, then, might I and we, dear reader, move forward with joyful creativity in this wildly powerful creative collaboration? (Yes, this is available to you, too. Read on.)

The way forward involves play.

A channeled message

The way of this is seemingly part of the child who you were, and the child who still resides within you. To be creative is to know play. To know play is to be as though the child. To be as though the child is to give the one who is the adult permission to be in a way of play, without judgement.

Full disclosure: The gist of that channeled message was brought to a recent conversation. The guidance that came through was an overall need to play, to find play even in “the humdrum,” as it was termed. One example we were offered was playing music while doing chores. So simple, and yet an opportunity easily overlooked.

Playing isn’t encouraged when we’re adults. It isn’t deemed important or necessary, much to our detriment. Even worse, as one participant in the conversation pointed out, the age at which play is discouraged in children is becoming increasingly younger. Why?

Life tends to be severe enough within its length without shortchanging vital years of play. From my perspective, that’s as bad as abdicating arts education in schools to focus purely on STEM. Somewhere along the way, someone forgot how critical the creativity and play that the arts evoke are to discovery and evolution within those four disciplines.

What does it all mean?

With the arrival of helpers from all over the universe who now engage with us here on the Earth plane, there is a growing need for more people to participate in the indwelling experience. The indwelling makes it possible for helpers to do their part, while also supporting us to do ours.

The indwelling experience increases our capacity to work with higher energies and amplifies our innate intuitive abilities. There is a significant learning curve, as the volume of energy requires considerable adjustment on the part of both our energy bodies and human bodies. Even so, it’s for a worthy cause: Earth’s welfare, and the welfare of all who call her home.
