Simple Saturday

3 May 2025

It’s Saturday, and it doesn’t feel like a day to be long-winded or make anyone, myself included, think a whole lot. There are better things to do on Saturday, especially if we’re blessed to have it off from work.

The words Simple Saturday overlay an image of a simple cairn standing on sand, with four rings around it drawn into the sand, and a sprig of green leaves leaning gently on it. It's a very calming image.

Simple Saturday (1) is a blog post by Ellen M. Gregg, published on ellenmgregg.com on 3 May 2025. #simplesaturday #saturdayvibes #keepcalmandsaturdayon

My Saturday get-to-do list looks something like this:

  • Enjoy my first cup of tea

  • Enjoy my second cup of tea with breakfast

  • Help my mom (she’s 87) make potato salad for a party on Sunday

  • Complete my channeled writing practice

  • Get outside, weather permitting

  • Make a smoothie for our lunch

  • Make dinner

  • Watch The Mirror Has Two Faces for movie night (my mom hasn’t seen it before, and is a big Barbra Streisand fan; pretty sure she’ll love it)

Beyond that, it’s a day for being far more than for doing. I’m very grateful for that.

Thanks for reading, and here’s to your own simple Saturday.
