Self-Acknowledgement

Self-acknowledgement is the act of - and the art of - giving ourselves credit for thoughts, words and deeds. It’s something many people might shy away from because they deem it narcissistic, or self-serving to a fault.

Self-acknowledgement serves a special purpose, however, that offers us insight into how we can better engage with our hearts.

What we notice is, the act of self-acknowledgement replenishes in a unique way. The self-acknowledgement is a form of kindness and compassion for the self, and this is what we feel is lacking amongst the humans.

Self-acknowledgement as kindness & compassion

There’s a perspective for us to enroll for our own, and to embrace as a core truth. When we practice kindness and compassion toward others, it’s obvious how meaningful it is.

And while we might suppose that “what goes around, comes around,” why wait for that eventuality? Why wait for someone else to serve us with what we might need right now?

By serving ourselves with kindness and compassion through the act of self-acknowledgement, we foster within ourselves that same meaningful response we witness with others. In the process, we may find we’re less needy of others’ expressions of acknowledgement.

Those external expressions become the metaphorical cherry on top; not really necessary and yet it looks (and tastes) nice.

When you act in self-acknowledgement, you act in wise affirmation. When you engage with wise affirmation, you contribute to the wellness and wealth that is your wholeness of self.

Why might it be that self-acknowledgement contributes to “the wellness and wealth that is your wholeness of self”? Perhaps our clue to the answer to that question comes from the phrase “wise affirmation.”

Wise affirmation

The wise affirmation is the sequence of words forming a bridge between the human and the soul. The wise affirmation forms an energy that engages with the soul of the present human.
This is important, because the bridge that is the energy encapsulates the meaningful exchange of energy from which evolution is born.

So, the “wise affirmation” that is self-acknowledgement contributes to our evolution - which, I suspect, is what is meant by “wholeness of self.” My guides confirm that thesis.

Self-acknowledgement, it appears, is the opposite of self-indulgent. It’s a straight-up act of self-care that supports our evolution at both the human and soul levels.

Why would we ever shy away from it, that being the case?

Blessed be.
