Catch and Release

“Warning: The past is creating barriers to the future. We see assignment of focus upon the past engages as though it is the present. With this, understand there is a dear present which is forsaken while recreating a past. The recreation creates a barrier to designing a future through the present. Cease reasoning with the past, that the present may promote the future.”

So much “yes” here. It’s one thing to contemplate the past through shadow work, for the purpose of shining light where it’s needed. It’s another to dwell on the past to a point that it actually cripples our present and, therefore, our future.

I hear, “catch and release.” If stuff rises up from the past, certainly catch it so it can undergo some scrutiny, and maybe forgiveness or acceptance or straight-up love. After that, though, release it to the past, where it belongs. That was then. This is now.
