And then, We Breathe

As much as I love Christmas (and I do love it, a whole lot), by the time Christmas Day is complete and we step into the 26th, I’m ready for a breather. This 26th day of December in the year 2020 is no exception to that.

And I'm incredibly grateful for the luxury of being able to lean into it wholeheartedly.

Past my morning meditation, it began with a Compass call; a breakfast call with my Compass sisters Annie, Deb and Diane. And let me tell you, that’s a wonderful way to start the day after Christmas.

Compass and coffee are a match made in take-a-breather heaven.

Now, it continues without plan or expectation. There are books on my Kindle. There is NFL football on TV. There are empty journal pages beckoning, along with the lights of the Christmas tree. There’s eggnog and leftover Italian Wedding casserole in the fridge…

This is how I breathe on the day after Christmas. May you enjoy your own manner of breathing today.

Blessed be.
