Trust

This is a recovered post from a botched website transfer in 2014. It was originally published 10/22/2013.

Trust shows up in myriad ways in your everyday life.
  • "I trust you."
  • Such-and-Such Bank & Trust
  • Trust fall
  • In God We Trust
  • "Don't you trust me?"

You place your trust in a number of people. You trust your car mechanic to make sure your car's running optimally. You trust your hairdresser not to botch your stylish new haircut and color. You trust your grocer to sell you quality meat and produce. You trust your closest friend with your deepest and darkest confidences. You trust your children to do as you say (and not what you do, necessarily). You trust your spouse or partner to be faithful to your relationship. You place your trust in yourself, above all else.If you just recoiled from the screen you're reading this on, you are not alone. Could it be you don't trust yourself? Could it be...

  • You second-guess your choices and decision?
  • You doubt your ability to live up to your commitments?
  • You question your heart and therefore your intuition?

Trust, when placed first with yourself, is more easily granted to others in your life. Once placed, it will blossom and grow in beautiful ways.

Today's task: Place trust in yourself; in your wisdom, logic and, most important of all, intuition. Feel the warmth and worth of that investment.

Do you trust?
