Transformation Is Like Breathing

“Transformation occurs when a change is necessary. Reasoning with all fear, transformation is as though unwelcome and dangerous. Reasoning with all soul, transformation is as though breathing, and remembering who you are.”

Someone once said to me something to the effect of, “I admire how you reinvent yourself.” I thanked them. At the time, their interpretation of how they saw me fit what I knew and how I had learned to think.

Now, I understand what they commented on was a natural transformation event - one among an unknown quantity of others - in the scope of a life. That is, if we allow it and flow with it and accept the endless wonder of chrysalis-turned-butterfly moments available to us as we walk within our human frames.

It seems another transformation is at hand for us, collectively. Will we allow it and flow with it and accept its wonder?
