Thanking Ourselves
Yesterday in the US, we may have practiced greater than average gratitude for our lives and the people and things in it.
We likely gave thanks for the food on our table and the loved ones gathered around it, and the loved ones who gathered around other tables. We likely gave thanks for the roof over our heads and the job that keeps it there.
Did we take a moment to give thanks for ourselves, though?
Thanking… ourselves?
If it seems an odd notion - if you’re wondering, “Why would I do that?” - then you probably need to give yourself some grace… and some gratitude.
Because the real question here is, “Why wouldn’t I do that?”
Think about it.
♡ Your time and energy and heart and mind engaged in helping make yesterday possible.
♡ Your time and energy and heart engage with those with whom you relate; family, friends, etc.
♡ Your time and energy and wisdom and knowledge engage in the work that earns the money to keep a roof over your head.
Did others thank you yesterday? Hopefully, yes. And that’s great.
When we thank ourselves, however, we give powerful love to ourselves. When we thank ourselves, we create an energetic synergy and frequency that raises our vibration.
When we thank ourselves, we open our heart chakra further and generate an energy of gratitude that far supersedes what we generate otherwise.
And that energy radiates outward in glorious ripples to everyone and everything around us, and everyone and everything we hold dear to our hearts.
You’re invited…
…to take a moment today to thank yourself with great intention and greater love. Notice how it feels and notice how it reverberates around you.
Blessed be.
