What's practical divination?"Divination is the practice of sourcing information and/or knowledge in an esoteric or a metaphysical or a mystical or a spiritual or a supernatural way.Or any combination of those. Intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.Mystical: Adjective. Of or relating to mystics or religious mysticism.Metaphysical: Adjective. Of or relating to metaphysics. (Metaphysics: Noun. The branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, substance, cause, identity, time, and space.)Spiritual: Adjective. For all my head seems to exist almost perpetually in the clouds given my area of work, the fact is I'm innately practical.That practicality seeps into the heights and depths of the divination work I do. And it's another fact that the seeping effect of practicality has made divination more ordinary; less esoteric.
Just so we're clear here, though, that ordinariness doesn't make the results - the answers, verified; the guidance, valid; the wisdom, awesome - any less extraordinary.It's a delicious paradox.
Practicing Practical Divination
There are many ways to practice practical divination. Here are some of the ways I practice, practically speaking:
