My 2017 Theme

As part of my participation in Ethony's 31 Days of Tarot, I'm revealing my theme for 2017 - through cards.31 Days of Tarot, Day 1: My 2017 Theme in Cards: Knowledge, Healing, Gaia and Magic from The Awakened Soul oracle deck by Ethony Dawn. The through-line theme - that over-arching, this-is-the-big-one theme - is:

Knowledge

Knowledge is my through-line theme for 2017. Card is from Ethony's The Awakened Soul oracle deck.

Knowledge as in learning astrology and digging even deeper into the Tarot system.

Those subjects are just for starters, although perhaps it could be said that those will be the dual entrees in terms of book-type learning; serious study-type learning. And I'm all for that, let me tell you. There are some days I actually miss the rigors of college. It feels like these two areas of study will fill that hole.

Healing

Healing from The Awakened Soul Oracle represents a sub-theme for 2017.Healing, in this instance, is specific to physical health.I've been put on notice by my spirit team that we'll be making significant adjustments in my food intake, and we'll also be making room in the daily schedule for Yoga. And I'm grateful for that. I feel like 2016 was a slide year in terms of physical health, to invest most - if not all - energy into spiritual growth. The time has come to claim balance.

Gaia

Gaia from The Awakened Soul oracle deck represents another sub-theme for 2017.Rather than being an independent theme, this theme - our Gaia - is entwined with Healing. Understandable, yes? This year will see me devoting more energy to the healing of our Earth. I'm unclear what that will look like, as of now, and that's okay. The revelations will come soon enough, no doubt.

Magic

Magic from The Awakened Soul oracle deck rounds out the sub-themes for my 2017 excursion."You have to believe we are magic. Nothing can stand in our way."Remember that Olivia Newton-John song from the 80s? It was featured on the soundtrack of Xanadu. Takes me back. ;-)So. Magic. Or is that Magick? However you prefer to spell it when it's associated with witchcraft, I've been put on notice that I'll also be investing energy in the study of the craft. And where at one point in time that would have pushed my ego buttons, it instead rings my chimes. I can practically hear some of my ancestors - both biological and past-life - cheering. They may also be muttering, "It's about time." Ha.This excites me. It feels warm and vivid and solid and "right." We'll see where it leads me and my business. *rubs hands together in anticipation*There you have it, then: My 2017 theme and also the first installment of 31 Days of Tarot (and Oracle)Happy New Year to you and yours!Blessings be with you.
