Most-Worked Deck of 2016

As part of my participation in Ethony's 31 Days of Tarot, I'm divulging my most-worked deck of 2016... and why.31 Days of Tarot, Day 8: Most-Worked Deck of 2016: Wisdom of the Oracle by Colette Baron-ReidOh, yes. Oh, yes. Oh, yes. (Feel free to recite that as though you're Matthew McConaughey saying, "Alright. Alright. Alright." I did.)My most-worked deck of 2016 is, hands down, Wisdom of the Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid.Between client and personal readings, this was my go-to deck for most of 2016. If you've used it, you may understand why. If you haven't used it, let me explain why.

Why?

Alignment, dearies. The energy of this deck aligned in an exacting way with the energy of most of 2016; that Two of Cups energy; that release-everything-old-receive-everything-new energy. There were certain cards that rose up from the wells over and over again until they taught me (us) what I (we) needed to learn. Cards like...31 Days of Tarot, Day 8 Example Cards from Wisdom of the Oracle by Colette Baron-ReidClean It UpOr, in other words, clean it out. This card exemplifies the process of diving into those wells and dredging up what needs it in order for the clean water to start flowing again.Symbolic much? Consider what world events fit this card.Fork in the RoadSo many forks, and always with a choice to make. The choice: Do I continue going the way I've been going, or do I go in a new direction? In every instance, I chose the new direction.Suffice to say, Robert Frost's "The Road Less-Traveled" has taken on new meaning. Here and NowBe here, now. Be present, now. Over and over again. And over and over again, because I clearly needed the reminder and guidance in order to fully grasp the difference between living in the present and living in the past and future. It's been a worthwhile lesson, and it's manifested interesting results around the holidays.Never-Ending StoryNo, this isn't about that 80s movie and its recent remake which are so beloved. This is about those stories we tell ourselves on repeat until we actually believe them and live them in our lives. The big problem is, the stories are lies. The stories are our ego's way of keeping us small. No, thank you.Tick-TockThis card can go in two different time-related directions: 1) We've got all the time in the world and 2) Get a move on because time's a-wastin'.Any guesses as to which direction my messages took with this card? #2, of course. Notably, 2 is my life path number. Coincidence? No such thing.Time to GoAnd because there's no time to waste, it's obviously time to go. It's go-time was a pervasive message, too, and it kept me on my toes in a very proactive and quite helpful way.Notably, I haven't used this deck since December 12, the day before the big new energy system began its move-in. My guides tell me it isn't (can't be) my go-to deck for 2017.And that makes sense to me, as it's just another example of the whole out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new theme of 2016.
