The Enchanted Map Oracle: Interviewing Divination Decks
Four weeks ago, I wrote a post about the notion of interviewing the card decks we use for divination purposes, with the intent of learning more about their purpose and energy.
In that post, I mentioned that I'd be interviewing all of the oracle decks I work with. That process began three weeks ago, and has so far included:
♥ Oracle of the Angels by Mario Duguay,
♥ Wisdom of the Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid, and
♥ Wisdom of the Hidden Realms by Colette Baron-Reid.
This week, I'm interviewing The Enchanted Map oracle cards by Colette Baron-Reid, published by Hay House.
What is your ideal purpose?
The purpose of The Enchanted Map oracle cards deck is to establish a guidance system for the user, both reader and querent. Through the guidance system there can be a greater understanding of the path.
Yes. That makes complete sense to me, even though it may seem obvious given the name of the deck. In looking at the card, it could be said the figure in the circle has collected everything necessary for the journey. Now, time to set out.
An interesting happenstance: As I was channeling the response above, "entrepreneur" came forward ahead of "querent." That tells me this deck could be useful for entrepreneurial business divination.
What is your energy form?
The form of the oracle deck works in great alignment with the moon phases. We ask that you consider how the moon runs its course from new to full, and then back to new again. This is the nature of the energy of this deck.
How delightful, and how fitting, too. Consider that the moon is always on a path. The beginning of the path is the new moon. The ending of the path is the new moon. In between is the full moon.
Now consider the meanings of the new and full moons. The new moon's meaning (heard "magic") is that of beginnings. The full moon's meaning is that of endings, aka releasings. How might those meanings and their energy power a journey?
Who is your ideal querent?
The ideal querent is one who has established a need to remove the ego from their path, and to instead reason with the heart and the light.
That explains this card draw. The Ghostlands can most definitely represent the ego and the state it can get us into when we're listening more to it than to our heart and our intuition. The ego creates confusion, unease, dis-ease, distrust... Definitely Ghostlands.
So, the person who wants to get themselves out of the Ghostlands is the person who will be the ideal querent for this deck.
Who will benefit from working with you?
The person who will most benefit from working with these cards is the person who knows there's more to the human life than the human experience. The person will wish to embark on a journey of regaining their spirit within their experience of humanness.
Mmm-hmm... This card and its message could be looked at as the remedy to the Ghostlands card, and therein lies the promise - and the benefit - for those who work with this deck.
Can anyone work with you regardless of experience?
The essence of this deck is nurturing and also provocative in the manner of provoking growth. We notice, therefore, that this deck will be of service to all who wish to work with it.
Beautiful. There is a gentle energy about this deck, even though it can be "provocative," too. The provocation will be to nudge the user and/or querent along on their enchanted journey.
Quite delightful, don't you think? ♥
