February 2017 Taught Me...
Closing the Book on 2017, December 4: February 2017 taught me… The Fool from Everyday Witch Tarot by Deborah Blake and Elisabeth Alba. Although I may dive or be pushed off the cliff, there will always be a form of parachute, even though it may not at first seem that way.
In February, my dad passed unexpectedly. It was a case of being pushed off the cliff that was my dad’s strength and wisdom. Suddenly, he was no longer there in human form, and that felt like a dark dive into an endless abyss.
The parachute turned out to be two-fold:
- I surrendered to the release of a bubble of grief that built up in me (dove off the cliff). It was incredibly uncomfortable. I had never experienced such a complete loss of any semblance or assumption of control over body, mind and soul as I did in those 30 or so minutes. On the other side of that holy release was relief.
- My dad began a conversation with me in his soul state. There was such a wonder to that, and it continues every day.
