Accept Responsibility
Tuesday's page from the Louise Hay page-a-day calendar on my desk affirmed:
I grow spiritually when I accept responsibility for my life.
While I read the statement Tuesday morning, its impact didn't strike me until yesterday, when I ripped it off to expose the next page. When it struck, I couldn't help but shake my head and laugh a little at the divine synchronicity of it.My actions on Tuesday were a study in accepting responsibility for my life.Who knew? My healer-friend Ellen would say, "How usual."When it comes to responsibility, it's something I've looked at as a negative.I've equated it with me being at fault - somehow to blame, and also as being a hindrance - a speed bump or a roadblock preventing me from doing or getting what I want.
Recently, I've begun to see it in a different light; as a positive.
Take Tuesday, for example. I took responsibility for setting a ball in motion that will go far in improving my life, and my business, too.
By taking responsibility for my life and well-being, I freed myself from some of the "what-am-I-going-to-do" thinking that has plagued me.
How empowering!
Today's task: Accept responsibility for a facet of your life that you've been ignoring or putting on the back burner.
Tell me: What are you taking responsibility for today?
