XV1. The Tower
My self-study of Tarot continues with The Tower. Or, as I just heard, “the fall of the old regime.”
Nosedive; abandon ship; shortfalls; momentous change; forced to move after ignoring signs, symbols, and guidance to do so; take no prisoners; storms of life; forced change as a consequence of oversight; the fall of the ego.
Crown; fire; lightning; rain; clouds; cliffs.
It’s the crown that stands out in all its glory (for all it’s been thrown off the top of the tower). The crown symbolized prosperity and great potential. It was most likely misused, which necessitated its fall. Even cast off and in mid-air, its potential and power are clearly seen.
Yellow, gold, orange, red, blue, gray, black, white.
It’s all about the gold, which is mostly seen in the crown although there are bits of it in the flames, too. The gold reminds me of the solar plexus chakra and its impact. It’s the seat of our personal power and intuition. When it’s out of whack, the rest of the “tower” of our chakras can “fall,” as can our lives.
