Six of Pentacles
My self-study of Tarot continues with the Six of Pentacles. Or, as I just heard, “Blessings.”
Charity; giving; philanthropy; sharing; balance; justice; tithing; serving those less fortunate.
Pentacles, scales, coins, castle, greenery.
It’s the scales with their display of balance that stand out for me. They feel important both for this card’s meaning and for the opportunity to bring that balance to our world.
Gold, mustard, red, blue, white, green, gray, brown, tan.
That deep, rich, gorgeous red is the star of this card, from my perspective. Its synergy with the root chakra and all things security and abundance are “the thing” here.
What the Guide Says About the Six of Pentacles
“One in the guise of a merchant weighs money in a pair of scales and distributes it to the needy and distressed.
“Divinatory Meanings: Presents, gifts, gratification. Another account says attention, vigilance, now is the accepted time, present prosperity, etc. Reversed: Desire, cupidity, envy, jealousy, illusion.”
Cupidity meaning: greed for money or possessions.
I’m in agreement with all except the bit about this card being “of love and lovers.” I don’t see or feel that, at all.
