Peace That Passes All Understanding

Peace... There is a sort of remembrance in that feeling and practice. It has a quality that speaks of Sunday-morning church and the prayer of "Our father..."As I remember it from my childhood:

Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, and deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The words and their wisdom weave a tapestry of peaceful reverence we can replicate in our own live through their recitation. It doesn't matter whether you're affiliated with a particular religious denomination. It may be that, like me, you practice spirituality in your own way.

Peace Isn't Passive; It's Creative

There is a fine line between peace and passivity. Passivity is the practice of doing nothing. Peace is the practice of creating space for love.When we practice peace, we invite the love that surpasses all dis-ease to fill our hearts with the boundlessness of peace.We create an ideal vessel in which to store harmony and hope. Allow the peace that passes all understanding to fill our world with the hope and the promise of a better existence. It's within our reach; ours to have and hold with all our hearts.And so it is.
