The Energy of the Full Moon, 7 August, 2017

The first prompt of Moon to Moon asks for a description of today's full moon energy. I wasn't surprised by the guidance to draw a Tarot card. And I wasn't surprised by the card I drew, either. The Energy of the Full Moon: 7 August, 2017 ~ Intuitive Ellen #moontomoonEven though the prompt is meant for personal reflection, the fact is, the energy of the Ten of Swords is the energy of this full moon collectively. What makes it personal is how it affects us; what it inspires or "innovates."

Collectively Speaking

This energy harnesses a rare opportunity for a complete reconstruction. Notice the destruction which must appear first. Notice the need to turn away from old behaviors and patterns; old relationships gone dry or sour; old beliefs and prescriptions of power. This is what will create preparedness for the solar eclipse. This is what will be nurtured within the retrograde of Mercury. This is what the time is come for.

The imagery of the card indicates the figure was "attacked" from behind. It could be considered that this was an ambush, of sorts. This full moon energy skews away from that sense of unexpectedness, though. And it skews away from the notion of attack, too, unless we allow our ego to convince us of it.The truth of the matter is, we've been prepared for this event for some time now. We've been the recipients of signs and symbols and full-on messages about being ready to accept this great change of seasons.

Change of Seasons

We aren't talking about nature's seasons; about mid-Summer here in New Hampshire feeling like early Autumn. And we aren't talking about a physiological change in the manner of a woman releasing her fertile years and entering her wise years. We're talking about energetic seasons as they impact our human lives and timeframes. As a collective, we're at a "cataclysmic" point of changing seasons - changing paradigms - within the construct of our human lives. This "changing of the guard," so to speak, may first take us down in order to raise us back up again. And it's a result of the full moon and lunar eclipse. In a word, it's intense. And perhaps that's to be expected of a change of this magnitude. It will be a wee bit less intense if we take it as it comes; if we open to it and embrace it. That's what I'm choosing to do. That way I'll be face-up rather than face-down and see what's coming. Will you be face-up, too?
