Seven of Wands
My self-study of Tarot continues with the Seven of Wands. Or, as I just heard, "driving it home."
Doing the work, finding balance, "putting it together," making the effort, getting it done, bridging the gap, staying the course.
Wands, sprigs (leaves), water, earth, cliff, sky.Bearing in mind that the suit of wands represents fire energy, it's the presence of the four elements that stands out for me. That presence creates a holistic energy which, by its own design, harnesses the soul's spiritual energy to create an ideal synergy. Powerful stuff.
Blue, yellow, gold, brown, green, gray, burnt orange. It's the green that stands out most for me, and speaks of groundedness and growth; growing. It also speaks of the Earth element itself, which is symbolic of abundance, money, family, sexuality. The presence of green in this card gives the figure a sense of rootedness that feels important and necessary.
What the Guide Says
"A young man on a craggy eminence, brandishing a staff, six other staves are raised toward him from below. Divinatory Meanings: It is a card of valor, for on the surface, six are attacking one, who has, however, the vantage position. On the intellectual plane, it signifies discussion, wordy strife; in business - negotiations, war of trade, barter, competition. It is further a card of success, for the combatant is on the top and his enemies may be unable to reach him. Reversed: Perplexity, embarrassments, anxiety."Geesh. I'm all-in for valor and success. I'm all out for the rest - at least, as I'm writing this on 12 April, 2017. The rest just doesn't make any sense to me as I look at this card. I could get behind challenges, if that was offered up as a meaning.
What We Say
One person can be as a dozen when the work is in alignment with the soul's purpose.Opposition becomes as another challenge along the way. It deters not the worker from the work.Creating greatness requires greatness of heart and allegiance of soul.Opening onto a way of indecision creates opposition.Too little effort is unimportant when the effort is on behalf of a collective spirit and the soul.Consequences created through misalignment will be as though orifices in time.
Ooh... I want/need to speak to "orifices in time," as I'm shown either wormholes or black holes. Either of those could be a serious impediment to a journey.
Shadow work."Fortune favors the brave."Implementation.Consider the origin of the work as a consideration of doing the work. (Meaning, if the origin is in alignment with the soul, go for it.)
I Might Ask This Client...
"Does the work you're doing align with your soul's purpose?""If you have everything you need to do the work, what might be stopping you?"What comes up for you around this card?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uwV1Wf8tUo
