Six of Cups: Taking On Tarot
Six of Cups
My self-study of Tarot continues with the Six of Cups. Or, as I just heard, "remembrance."
Kindness; honoring; "Memory"; in memoriam; sharing; generosity of spirit; sweetness; paying it forward.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-L6rEm0rnY
Cups, flowers, castle, vines, sky, children, new Spring grass. The grass, of all things, caught my attention. It was the "Spring green" color that grabbed me, and led to a consideration of youth and young things growing; nurturing, too.
Blue, red, gray, green, tan, orange, gold, white, brown.Aside from that yellow-green of the grass, it's the red of the boy's capelet that engages me. And while I think of the root chakra almost automatically, it's only for the purpose of "getting back to our roots."
What the Guide Says About the Six of Cups
"Children in an old garden, their cups filled with flowers.Divinatory Meanings: A card of memories of the past. For example, reflecting on childhood, happiness, enjoyment, but coming rather from the past, things that have vanished. Another reading reverses this, suggesting new relations, new environment, and new knowledge.Reversed: Renewal, the future, that which will come to pass presently."Sure. It makes sense given what I've intuited, so far.
