Serenity: A Poem

This is one of the posts recovered after a botched website move three years ago. It was originally written and published on October 21, 2011.

Serene solitude awakens my soulwith stirrings of unnamed longings, unclaimed dreams, and unspoken words.Shining stars invite my wisheswith near-forgotten chants of"starlight, star bright," and"goodnight, my someone."Salty streams trace my cheeksfrom a heart-aching combination ofgrief and joy;fear and hope.Poised on the brink of infinity,I surrender to thecurrent of all that has been, all that is, andall that will be.

PhewI haven't birthed poetry of that sort in quite some time. To say that its need to be composed was intense is a vast understatement.
