As I write this reading on Friday 11 January, I feel what I believe is the combined effects of the 111 portal and the void-of-course moon. The energy is languorous and rich; deep and focused. It's the sort of energy in which I wonder, when I close my eyes, which way is up. (And yet the answer to my wondering isn't important, because the energy is so lush.)
Illuminating the week of 14 January 2019
Our cards for this week are The Moon from the Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot and Pig Spirit from The Spirit Animal Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid and Jena DellaGrottaglia. They make a very harmonic duo. Let's learn more:
"The energy of the moon is the energy of the inner voice. The inner voice is the voice of the intuition, the voice of the soul, the voice of the cosmos. It is the way of the inner over the outer. It is the 'internal affairs' over the external strife. Working with the energy of the moon, one may find their inner monologue wishing to find a vent. The vent may wish to be ego-led. The vent will best be heart-led."
While appreciating the caution regarding the "vent," which could be spoken or written or both, that isn't the focus energy for this week. The focus energy - the illumination, if you will - is on, as I hear over and over like a chant or a mantra, "inner work."
The energy of the moon, as stated above, is our inner voice; our "internal affairs; that which is largely secreted or hidden from "prying eyes." When we turn inward with the intent of working things out, there can be a wonderful monologue (and dialogue). There can also be a whole lot of "yuck" that rises up if/when the ego jumps in. This is where the Pig Spirit's assertion to "Use your mind wisely" comes into play.
As we're delving into the inner work, we'll wish to be highly discerning of the monologue/dialogue we invest in. We'll wish to be clear that our intuitive, soul-centered cosmic voice is the one that takes the lead. With that said...
- What inner work may need your investment this week?
- Are you able to discern the voice of your soul from the voice of your ego?
- What might your inner voice and "internal affairs" have in store for you as you work with and through them?
Be as curious and compassionate as possible. Blessings be.
