I received the following quote in my inbox yesterday, and it inspired me.
"Happiness is when what you think, what you do, and what you say are in harmony." ~Mahatma Gandhi
It inspired me to consider when happiness shows up in my life, based on the equation laid out: Harmony of thought, deed, and word are equal to happiness. When, then, does happiness show up in my life?
???? When I'm "in the flow" on stage.???? When I get lost in doing something as simple as the dishes, or as complex as creating a book trailer.???? When I'm with friends and family and time has no meaning, and synchronicity abounds.???? When I'm offering healing through Reiki - either to myself, or to others.???? When I don't let my ego overtake me.???? When I get excited over cooking a nutritious meal for myself.???? When I share an in-depth, full-circle conversation with anyone.???? When a song I love comes on the radio.???? When a performance touches my heart.???? When I pull on a pair of jeans and they're wicked loose on me.
Those are a few of my "whens," at any rate. There are so many more I could list, which also stirs happiness within me.When does happiness, as defined by Gandhi, show up in your life?
