Illumination: Energy for the Week of 26 August 2019: Composure
Full disclosure: As I was typing the title for this post, the word "composure" came out of the ethers... with no cards drawn yet. Unusual, for sure, and yet also curiosity-piquing. "Will the cards fit the keyword," I wondered. As it happens... yes.
Both The Tower* and the 4 of Cups* offer opportunity for maintaining - or reclaiming - our composure. And by composure, let me clarify this isn't about appearing composed for other people. This form of composure is totally internal.
"There are changes at hand which emulate a discharge of energy not unlike that of lightning. And within the changes come uncertainty, with a possible inability to see the gift of them. The call for composure invites an inner calm to weather the storm, and also for better interpreting the messages of the changes."
Remember last week's energy reading? We completed a cycle and began a new one. Change and its challenges come with new cycles. There's a need for working through - and eventually out - the kinks. And, yes, the gentling of the forecasted storm comes with purpose. The feeling around the "storm" and its resulting changes warrants that gentling. Think thunderstorm, not hurricane.
Also, please notice the imagery of the two cards. Both contain gifts. Even though the squirrel's nest may go up in flames, the two huge acorns indicate all will be well. And although the three bowls stacked haphazardly appear void of promise, another bowl enters the picture and it's filled with sparkly rainbow magic.
So, allowing ourselves inner calm - a.k.a. composure - as we move through these challenges and changes offers us a gift. That gift is access to our inner wisdom; our intuition; our soul's voice. And that access may indeed supply sparkly rainbow magic.
