Illumination: Energy for the Week of 2 September 2019
September already? While three weeks of summer still remain, once we enter this month, I feel as though autumn steps in; calm, cool and somewhat collected. Do you feel that way, too?
Autumn ruminations aside, let's find out what this first week of September holds in store for us energetically.
No, déjà vu isn't in play here. Somehow, our cards for this week are identical to those of last week. The only difference: 4 of Cups* needed the left and The Tower* needed the right. What does it mean?
"There is a great engagement of the ego and its need for balance as it pertains to energy of change. The ego states, 'No change is best change.' The soul states, 'Change creates evolution.' This is why the 4 of Cups appears first. This is the ego represented; uncertain, unsettled and unhappy with the change offered in spite of its promising appearance. The Tower then represents the actual change, which comes in spite of the ego's desire to remain the same."
I hear the song, "Everything changes!" from the Broadway musical Waitress. The lead character, Jenna, sings it when she delivers her baby - unwanted throughout the pregnancy and yet everything she wants upon delivery.
Our soul understands - and vibes with - change. Change, for our highest and best, is welcome because it brings growth, evolution, ascension. Our ego... not so much.
So, the energy for this week invites remembering the gifts of change. It encourages us to work through our ego's hesitancy and move with the change; work through the delivery process. Something wonderful emerges on the other side.
(Side note: I needed a new desk mat. My previous one ended up with salt on it from my Himalayan salt candle holder. Now, any time there's the slightest bit of humidity it becomes damp. Enter new desk mat from The Spirit Den on Etsy.)
