Hippogriff from The Witch’s Oracle by Marla Brooks and Aunia Kahn, published by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd. ✨
“Reason with rising. Reason with spirit and soul. Reason with highest purpose and truth. The hippogriff walks on land with some awkwardness, and yet in flight there is wholly grace.” 💞
The hippogriff is new to me. I actually looked up its description in the deck’s guidebook, an occurrence so rare as to be non-existent. The hippogriff is described as likely being the offspring of a griffin and a mare. Its two legs provide “service” for walking on land, and yet the walking is unnatural; the gait clumsy; the footing uncertain. In flight, however, the hippogriff becomes as one with the air and the clouds and the sky, and the stars and beyond.
That manner of flight is what we’re invited to partake in, and as much as the channelled message came through with “wholly grace,” that grace feels very much holy. Let’s fly. Let’s rise. 💫
