Our essential oil of the month is… geranium essential oil.
It’s an apt choice.
There’s a vibrancy to the scent of geranium essential oil that matches itself with the overall energy of May, which is also vibrant.
Verdant, too. 🙂
Here’s what my guides have to say about geranium essential oil:
We see the geranium represents the fertile nature of the month of May in the Northern hemisphere.
We see the geranium’s aroma is one which evokes a lightness of being and encourages growth.
We see the qualities of geranium essential oil support the growth of the spirit.
We see the qualities of the essential oil evoke the remembrances of the Spring and its forward momentum.
We see the qualities of the essential oil are in line with the qualities of the spiritual growth which will raise the vibration of the planet Earth.
I love that. The energetic side of this essential oil feels like it can spur us into action at several levels.
♥ It feels like it can remind us to revel in our spiritual natures and bring them to the fore.
♥ It feels like it can remind us to remain in touch with nature; to put our feet on the earth and be better grounded.
♥ It feels like it can remind us to initiate a connection and/or reconnection with those whose vibrations are up to ours.
(I appreciate the “remind” intentions here. Very much in line with Mercury Retrograde.)
Putting Geranium Essential Oil to Work
This essential oil is suitable for aromatic and topical applications.
Aromatic ~ Dispense a half dozen drops in your favorite diffuser and enjoy the diffusion one hour at a time.
Topical ~ I hear “classic” application, and I’m shown a round metal disc-style container with what appears to be a solid perfume in it. In this instance, the perfume is the geranium essential oil. If that resonates with you, this post on the Young Living blog will show you the how-to.
Let me know if you have other ideas for any of these applications using geranium essential oil.
