Crystal Visions Tarot: Interviewing Divination Decks

This week, I'm interviewing Crystal Visions Tarot, created by Jennifer Galasso, published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

For context: Twenty-one weeks ago, I wrote a post about the notion of interviewing divination decks. The intent: learning more about their purpose and energy. In that post, I mentioned that I'd be interviewing all of the divination decks I work with. That process began twenty weeks ago, and has so far included:

Interviewing Divination Decks: Crystal Visions Tarot

What is the ideal purpose of the Crystal Visions Tarot deck?

Queen of Pentacles ~ Crystal Visions Tarot, created by Jennifer Galasso, published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

The purpose of the Crystal Visions Tarot deck is to reconnect with the energy of Earth through the energy of the crystals adorning the cards.

The moment I flipped over the Queen of Pentacles, I knew that would be the response. Pentacles is the suit associated with the Earth element, and the Queen of Pentacles is, in effect, the high priestess of Earth's energy. And what a beautiful purpose this deck holds. I love that the crystals are such an important part of the purpose.

What is the energy form of the Crystal Visions Tarot deck?

Six of Cups ~ Crystal Visions Tarot, created by Jennifer Galasso, published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

The form of the Crystal Visions Tarot deckis that of navigation. The navigation is that of the charted waters of the childhood powering the uncharted waters of the adulthood.

Notice how the woman glances back at her child self, who offers the adult self one of the cups from a lotus blossom. And notice the crystal in the woman's right hand activating as it comes into contact with that youthful cup.

While the past is the past and we're meant to live in the present, we can learn much from our child selves. We can learn much - and grow much - by remembering the whimsical nature of childhood with its openness and receptivity.

Who is your ideal querent?

King of Swords ~ Crystal Visions Tarot, created by Jennifer Galasso, published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

The ideal querent is one who persists in the reasoning of the mind over the reasoning of the heart. It is this individual who will experience the transfiguration needed through these cards.

Wow. I think this is the first time I've felt a really strong "prescriptive" vibe in association with a deck of cards. The channeled message basically says, the person who's furthest from the truth of who they really are is the person who will most benefit from the cards. Fascinating.

Who will benefit from working with you?

Death ~ Crystal Visions Tarot, created by Jennifer Galasso, published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

Those who will most benefit from these cards are those who present the greatest need of transformation.

Perfect. The card and response are perfectly aligned with the King of Swords and his message. The Death card in Tarot is first and foremost about transformation.

Every time we transform ourselves or any part of our lives, it's symbolic of death. Something has to "die" in order for the transformation to occur.

If we want red hair and have brunette hair, the brunette has to give way to the red. If we want to create a new habit that's ideal for us, we have to take steps to relinquish an old habit that's less than ideal for us.

Make sense?

Can anyone work with you regardless of experience?

The Sun ~ Crystal Visions Tarot, created by Jennifer Galasso, published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

The cards will work well with any who wish to be as the sun. We notice the sun shines without power of ego, or malice, or embarrassment, or timidity. Instead, the sun shines with joy and with hope for it is of the light.

If you want to get your sunshine on, this deck is for you.
