Book of Shadows from The Witch’s Oracle by Marla Brooks and Aunia Kahn, published by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd. ✨
“We wonder that you might reason with the Book of Light. We wonder that you might wonder how this would be of difference to a Book of Shadows. We notice the difference will lie mostly in intent.” 💞
Interesting, especially since my personal understanding of a Book of Shadows is that of a keeper of spells, potions, etc., and their results. I’m not really sure why it came to be associated with shadows. When I consider the show “Charmed” and the Book of Shadows kept by the lineage of witches within the Halliwell family, I acknowledge there were a whole lot of “shadows” within its bindings given the range of energies they dealt with.
In this instance, I hear “By the light, of the light, for the light.” It’s something I’ve heard before from my guides, and it isn’t meant to ignore those energies of the shadow so much as focus predominantly on those energies of the light. Another frequent phrase from my team is, “For the higher purpose of all and all that is.” It resonates, and yet “Book of Higher Purpose of All and All That Is” is a bit awkward. “Book of Light” is easier on the tongue.
What might a “Book of Light” be filled with? Are we to create one, individually? Collectively? Hmm…
By the way, it could be said that there’s no such designation of light and shadow, or dark, through the lens of the universal energy system. It could be said that our ego creates these attributions as a way of aligning with our cellular survival coding. Something to consider. 💫
