Ace of Pentacles
My self-study of Tarot continues with the Ace of Pentacles. Or, as I just heard, “providence.”
Divine gift; pennies from Heaven; investment; start-up; angel investor; “the way is clear”; portal to a fresh start; “all is well.”
“Hand of God”, pentacle, lilies, archway as portal, vines with flowers (roses?), mountains, path.
It’s the archway the clear path leads to, and the teasing glimpse of the mountain beyonds, that feels most important here. There’s a “clear and present” – obvious – way to go; a divine invitation to start a new chapter.
White, blue, gold, green, beige, pink, black.
The green of the vines that create the border and the portal stand out for their abundance and their apparent health and heartiness. It feels symbolic of what’s made available through this card – and through the portal.
What the Guide Says About the Ace of Pentacles
“A hand – issuing, as usual, from a cloud – holds up a pentacle.
“Divinatory Meanings: Perfect contentment, felicity, ecstasy – also speedy intelligence, gold. Reversed: The evil side of wealth, bad intelligence. Also great riches.”
What’s offered by the guide feels in alignment with what’s offered by the card – in the sense of its simplicity, that is. Ecstasy? Speedy intelligence? Bad intelligence? I don’t see or feel those meanings (at this time).
