Who I'll Be as the Year Winds Down (A 2020 Reflection)

Obviously, I’ll be me - myself - as 2020 winds down. And yet the details, nuances and assorted subtleties, and the choices I make as my evolution continues, dictate who I’ll be from inside out.

So, while I’ll be me - myself - as this year winds down, how I present myself and how I show up could very well change between now and then. That’s what I’m reflecting on in this post for A 2020 Reflection.

Prompt Seven

For this seventh of eleven prompts, here’s what I channeled:

Ask yourself, "Who will I choose to be as this year of years reaches its conclusion? How will I choose to be in these final days of 2020?"
Treasure the way of you and the why of you and the how of you, and allow yourself to dream yourself into a beingness that transcends what has come before.

Such deep and dreamy questions to ponder. And I’m grateful for the mindset and choices that make way for me to embrace these inquiries as “dreamy” rather than, say, “hard.”

Who I choose to be

I choose to be me, supported by a “floatation device” (as nudged by my guides). The floatation device is Spirit, spirit guides, intuition, soul. And as with most floatation devices, they may work ideally when they’re surrendered to.

Take a traditional life vest, for example. It’s made for a person to lean back onto. Doing so takes no particular exertion on the part of the person it’s supporting - which is the whole point.

Of course, we could choose to lean back onto it and then kick our legs and move our arms if we had a particular destination in mind. In doing so, all our efforts go to the action of movement toward our destination. There’s no need to concern ourselves with staying afloat, too, since that part’s already covered.

And that’s who I’m choosing to be with great intention through the end of this year and moving into the next. I’m choosing to be the person relying on her life vest to stay afloat while kicking her legs and moving her arms to make way toward her next destination.

Doing so gives me a greater opportunity for receiving guidance and downloads for the new year… among other things.

How I choose to be

I choose to be open and communicative.

I choose to be serene and inquisitive.

I choose to steep myself in the sights and sounds and nostalgia of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, and share my observations with others.

I choose to love myself unrelentingly and to create space for others to love themselves similarly.

I choose to practice intuition inwardly and outwardly, no matter who I’m with.

And so it is. Blessed be.
