A Quick Dose of R-E-A-L-I-T-Y

A short extra post this week, because Bren at My Girly Parts awarded me with this:

Reality Blog Award

Thanks, Bren! :-)

While I’m not going to pass this on, I liked the questions asked of the recipients. Here, then, are my answers to those questions.

If you could change one thing, what would you change? It would be so easy to make a long list things I might like to change about myself or this world. Just one thing? I would change cancer; make it easily treatable, if necessary, but even more, make it completely curable.

If you could repeat an age, what age would it be? No way, no how, no thanks. Next!

What is one thing that really scares you? Ignorance, because it can breed hate and war.

What is one dream you have not fulfilled, and do you think you’ll be able to fulfill it? This is such a vanity thing, but I want to have my teeth fixed. It’s a long-held dream, and, unequivocally yes, I will be able to fulfill it.

If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be? I’m okay with being a character on stage, because it’s pretend – I don’t lose myself (not really, even if it has felt like it in some intense moments). I don’t want to be anyone else, not even for a day.

Thanks again, Lady Bren! :-)

I'm a plant-based writer and Reiki master/teacher. Which means I write, I practice Reiki, and I eat plants. It doesn't mean I write about plants. That would make me a botanist. I think.

Love your answers! You know, at 43 years old I got Invisalign for my teeth because even after years of braces as a teen, my bottom front teeth were crooked and it bothered me to no end so I can totally relate to that one. Also, the Ignorance. You nailed it on the head girlfriend. There is so much in the world that is scares me to think where we’ll be in another 10 years or so. Frightening! Cancer has taken so many of my loved ones from me, as well as scared my own body with skin cancers. I live with the fear of getting melanoma and dying from it. Terrible thing that Cancer is. Girl, I pray some day there is a cure!

Congrats on your award Ellen. I don’t spread those things around lightly. As I stated on my blog, you are an inspiration and a superfantastic woman at that! Happy 2013!

    • Thanks, Bren! :-)

Invisalign is on my radar. Thanks to genetics and a pull-happy dentist from my youth, what would have been just a slight familial gap between my two front teeth is a complete spreading of my front upper teeth. They had the room, so… blick. My bottom teeth would easily benefit from Invisalign, though. My upper teeth are destined for caps. ;-)

Thank you again for the award. It means a lot. xoxo

  2. great answers, Ellen.
